Manchester United Set to Secure Germany Forward Lea Schüller from Bayern Munich
The Women's Super League club are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific German forward Lea Schüller on a permanent transfer from Bayern Munich.
A Major Signing for United
Schüller, who has half a year remaining on her deal, is known as a prolific goalscorer for both club and country. She has netted over 100 goals for Bayern and found the net 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. Her arrival will be seen as a marquee coup for the WSL side.
Departure from Munich has been anticipated since she appeared to be holding back emotions while thanking the German club’s supporters after a victory over Bayer Leverkusen this month.
It was reported in late December that the German women's top flight was set to lose one of its leading strikers. Per multiple sources, all the paperwork for the move have now been completed.
Reliable Goalscoring to Boost United's Attack
The 28-year-old’s signing is expected to provide a major boost to United’s forward line. She has been remarkably reliable with her finishing in the Bundesliga.

- The contract extension for Japan midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, who has become popular figure since joining in 2023.
On the midfielder's new deal, a club official commented: “Miyazawa is now a vital component to the way we play. Her footballing intelligence and technical ability enables her and the team to control and dictate play from central areas.”
The new defender, having arrived from a club in the NWSL, added: “You can sense how much they [United] have grown in the last few years, playing in one of the strongest leagues in the world and performing in the Champions League.”
